Spring Time With Janie and Jack
Springtime for me is such a time of thankfulness and appreciation. After a long cold winter, I find that I just appreciate the sun, the bright colors and the scattered days of warmth that tell of summer coming infinitely more. Absence truly does make the heart grow fonder! When Janie and Jack approached me to sponsor this post I could not have been more excited to work with them. They have been one of my favorite baby/children’s brands for a while and their spring children’s collection will make your heart melt right along with the snow outside. I couldn’t think of a better dress to bring the spring in with a pop of color than this adorable poppy dress from their poppy fields collection. Ayla looked like such a little doll with her matching sun hat and adorable cropped cardigan. The bright reds were just perfect against a still snowy backdrop. Ayla also could not have been more excited to carry around her new Quilted purse so she could be just like mommy. She quickly found it was an excellent place to stash her cranberries to snack on!
We had such a fun day touring Yale’s British art museum. They were featuring a painting by Jacques-Laurent Agasse called Zebra and when Ayla saw the beautiful painting of the Zebra she started clapping and babbling with excitement. It was definitely her favorite piece! The museum personnel even gave her an adorable foam zebra toy to carry around. Despite the snow, the day warmed up quite a bit and we were able to walk around Yale’s campus courtyards. We could not have been more thankful for the adorable rainboots which made traversing the snow and melting puddles a cinch. I’m convinced that rainboots should be the official shoe of spring time. They are perfect for those last few snowstorms we inevitably get up here in the northeast during early spring, and they also transition perfectly to the spring rains that are sure to follow.
