Caring For Sensitive Skin With Cetaphil Baby

Caring For Sensitive Skin With Cetaphil Baby

This post has been sponsored by Cetaphil®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Who knew that sensitive skin could be such a huge parenting challenge? I am really excited to share in this post a bit about our sensitive skin journey that lead us to find Cetaphil® Baby Wash & Shampoo as well as Cetaphil® Baby Daily Lotion. If you have had a baby with sensitive skin then I am sure you can relate to walking your local Walmart aisles desperately trying every baby product out there to find the right fit. Let me tell you, I am not a risk taker when it comes to my baby's health, so it can be S-T-R-E-S-S-F-U-L! I will just cut to the chase and tell you that we have fallen in love with Cetaphil baby products for sensitive skin. (If you’d like to just take me at my word you can grab a coupon for a $1 off any Cetaphil baby product here but please feel free to keep reading to hear a bit about how we found Cetaphil.)

Our Journey started with Cosette’s first bath. Our first daughter, Ayla, had never loved the bath so I was not overly concerned when Cosette followed suit with those tiny tears as she was placed in her tub. I reflected on the anxiety I had felt while bathing our first and proudly thought, “see, number two is definitely easier. I already know what to expect” as I confidently washed our pink-faced crying babe.

That thought lasted for no more than a minute as the little cries suddenly turned to loud screams and I noticed a bright red rash break out all over our baby girl. Over the coming weeks we discovered that her skin was FAR more sensitive than Ayla’s had ever been. We experienced everything with Cosette from dry scaly patches on her legs, to terrible bath time breakouts. I always seek out the best for my child so I thought finding the right products to help sooth her delicate skin would be an overwhelming process of trial and error.

Luckily I soon found Cetaphil baby daily lotion and Cetaphil baby wash and shampoo at my local Walmart and noticed right away that Cosette didn’t break out in a red rash from the products. I found out that Cetaphil baby products are formulated with organic calendula extract to help soothe the skin. I was also really happy to find out that Cetaphil baby products are free of parabens, colorants, mineral oil’s, are hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. What was surprising, too - is that while other shampoos left behind a residue, Cetaphil Baby products washed out completely leaving her hair soft and beautiful. What had initially started out as a product just to calm her sensitive skin quickly became a favorite - I won't lie that that sweet smelling soft hair from the baby wash and Shampoo was a huge added bonus!

This product was so helpful I started to incorporate the daily lotion into our morning routine. We would wake up, change Cosette’s diaper and apply the lotion each morning. After a few days I noticed a really big improvement in the dry patches that had been all over her legs. With as sensitive as her skin was, I truly thought we would end up having to spend a lot of money on some specialized products to help with her skin. I never dreamt we would find something so affordable right in the baby aisle at Walmart! If your little one has sensitive skin, I really recommend trying Cetaphil Baby before buying a million other expensive specialized products. I truly believe you will see the same great results we did and find relief for you and your little one! Thanks for reading and don’t miss out on that $1 off coupon for Cetaphil baby products here

Kelly
