A Kids Guide To The Best Holiday Toys of 2024
*This post has been sponsored by Moose Toys*
I have some experts in toys here that were very eager to help with this year's holiday toy guide! I love getting to share some of our favorite toys for the holiday season and this year my girls wanted to share why THEY love these toys. I did a little interview and asked them what they loved about each toy because I think they are a bit more qualified than me on the topic. Now for my girls answers. Drumroll please…
Little Live Pets My Really Real Puppy Patches- This is such a sweet realistic toy for kids to get that puppy experience without all the responsibility that goes along with it! My 8 yr old has been loving this puppy and the carrier case actually turns into a dog bed when you lift the top off. That’s been a huge hit since putting toys to bed and making sure they are all tucked in is a favorite activity around here.
Here is what my 8 year old loved about it: “She’s really soft and I like that I can feed her with a bottle. She makes really cute sounds and feels like she’s really real. I like that she has a crate and that I can tuck her in in her bed!”
2. Tippy The Magic Dragon- This is such a fun game and I love it because you can play it fairly quickly for those nights that you want to squeeze in one quick 10 minute game to connect as a family before bedtime! Tippy the dragon hovers over his castle, balancing and as you roll the die you add your treasure to him without tipping him off balance. Last player standing wins!
Here is what my 5 yr loves about it: “I like that it comes with lots of treasure and I like the purple treasure the best! I like it because I can beat sissy sometimes even though she’s older than me! It’s also funny when Tippy falls down.”
3. Big Spot ‘n Bop- This is a fun one to play as a family because it gets you up on your feet as you race to find the right picture. The inflatable 4 foot Bopper only took a minute or two to inflate with our air pump and the girls loved racing to find the correct item.
Here is what my 8 yr old loved: “I’m really fast at finding the pictures and it’s fun to try and be faster than everyone else.”
Here is what my 5 yr old loved: “It’s really pretty with lots of colorful pictures. It’s funny to bop it around and I like when I have to find the doughnut!
4. Tile Town Fire Station and Fire Truck Magnetic Playset- This set is so fun to build and it’s easy enough that my 5 yr old can build it without my help using the instruction book. She has so much fun putting it together and the best part is she has a set she gets to play with once it’s built! It comes with action figures and even has interactive/working parts (like plastic water that shoots out of the hose and a siren that really works)
Here is what my 5 yr old loved: “It’s really fun to put it together and I like that the fire truck shoots the water out of the hose. I really like that there is a girl firefighter too!”
5. Real Littles Scented Surprise Micro Backpacks- Both of my girls have been obsessed with anything “Real Littles” for a long time. These backpacks are definitely a favorite and they come full of the cutest little surprises!
What my 8 yr old loves: “I love collecting them and the surprises inside are really cute and small. I like to use the tiny journal and stickers to write notes!”
What my 5 yr old loves: “They come with stickers that are treats! I like to pack them up for my dolls to go to school. My dolls like to color pictures in the notebook.”
6. Thready Bear- I have to say, I was not prepared for how much my daughter would love this bear. It’s been beyond cute to watch her interact with Thready Bear. When you take him out of the box, your little one has to thread the heart onto him and wish him to life. There are two settings, one where he comes alive overnight for a magical surprise, and one where he comes alive right away. The second Thready Bear came to life and started making sounds and facial expressions Cosette fell in love. She carries him around and snuggles him all day. It’s truly precious and I have never seen her connect so deeply with a toy in this way before.
What my 5 yr old loves: “I like that Thready loves me as much as I love him. We like to snuggle and he likes to play games with me because he’s real. I like that he talks to me in teddy bear language because only I understand what he’s telling me.”
I hope my girls' reviews can help you out as you shop for your own little ones this year! Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays!
