Connecting With Neighbors Through At-Home Lemonade Stands

Lemonade stands have always been a great way to spark little entrepreneurial minds and connect with neighbors. When my daughter recently asked if we could have a lemonade stand, I didn’t want to disappoint her by saying no. I decided we would get creative and still find a way for her to have her lemonade stand, and connect with neighbors. I have always loved Sparkling Ice® Classic Lemonade from ACME, and I thought it would be a fun idea to make little lemonade care packages that we could deliver to our neighbors' porches. 

I knew that a lemonade stand without a “stand” would never do, so we got to work and made a little indoor lemonade setup. Ayla was so proud of how it turned out, and she helped me to carefully tape the sign in place and line up each flavor of Sparkling Ice Lemonade perfectly. Once everything was in place, “Ayla’s Lemonade” was officially open for business. I would pretend to walk by and order a different flavor of lemonade each time. Ayla had so much fun, and the game lasted for at least a good hour! We even had a few stuffed animals place their orders. 

After playing for a bit, I had Ayla help me package up some gift bags with an assortment or Sparkling Ice flavors. We included Coconut Limeade, Strawberry Lemonade and Classic Lemonade Sparkling Ice flavors in each bag. We added a bow, a little note from our family, and headed out to make some deliveries to our neighbors. Ayla, very carefully, placed the bags on everyone’s doorsteps, and had the biggest grin on her face every time we walked away to the next home. It really ended up being the perfect afternoon activity, and it helped Ayla to think about ways to show a little extra kindness to our neighbors!

They are sugar-free and incredibly refreshing. I love all the flavors, but I would especially recommend trying the Coconut Limeade!
