Apple Picking // A Connecticut Must For The Fall
I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday than apple picking with my daughter and husband (who happened to be behind the camera). Ayla LOVES when we wear our matching red boots. She calls them our "Gossie boots". Ayla's favorite book right now is about a gosling named Gossie who looses her red boots only to find her best friend had borrowed them. The book is a little too reminiscent of my college experience when my clothing would go missing left and right only to be seen later that day on my adorable roomie who just happened to be the exact size as me. I am thankful Ayla can't steal my clothing quite yet but I know that day will be here before I know it! For now she is happy to have her very own pair of "Gossie boots" to match mine.
We had a great time at the orchard picking apples, riding on the tractor and doing a bit of "snacking" from tree to tree. I should probably take a moment and formally apologize to Bishop's Orchard's because I am fairly certain Ayla took bites out of at least 5 apples and then proceeded to throw them on the ground. She obviously thought it was a really fun game to play. I should also state that I did make attempts to be a responsible adult and minimize the partial apple consumption, but what can I say? My tiny human is fast. She's just lucky she's cute :).
XO,
Kelly
