4 reasons Feast & Fettle is better than your current food delivery service.
Maintaining a healthy diet while keeping up with my families busy weeknight routine has often been a challenge. Finding the time and inspiration to come up with meals and shop for ingredients was leaving me a bit overwhelmed. I was finding myself making frozen processed meals in the name of saving time too many nights during the week so I turned to pre-made meal delivery services. I tried over 5 of the most popular meal delivery services out there and I was never happy with them (I won’t drop names but you have probably tried them). After continuously striking out I finally found a local meal delivery service called Feast and Fettle. Their kitchen is located in East Providence, RI but they are currently expanding to build a second kitchen in Shelton, CT. (They currently serve all of RI, and parts of MA and CT). After our first week of meals was delivered I was completely hooked and beyond excited to finally find what our family was looking for.
Here are four reasons I think Feast and Fettle are so much better than the rest:
1. It’s made locally and delivered, not shipped- Aside from the fact that I love supporting local businesses, having a meal delivery service that does not need to ship the food on ice means I get the freshest meals possible. They actually deliver the meals right to my doorstep after making them in a local kitchen. The meals always taste like restaurant quality (and I mean at a GOOD restaurant!) and they stay fresh all week until we are ready to eat them!
2. The portion sizes are great- This has been one of our biggest problems with other meal delivery services. The portion sizes are never enough, especially for my husband. We end up having to either order additional meals which gets way too expensive or he ends up making himself a second dinner (defeating the point of not having to cook). With Feast and Fettle both of us always have enough to eat. He has never once complained about still being hungry and with all of the sides that are included, I often can even get an extra lunch or two out of the meals.
3. Mix and match option for every diet- The menu from Feast and Fettle is fantastic. There is such a wide variety of options. You can find everything from delicious ethnic dishes to your more standard steak and potatoes. Whether you’re adventurous like me, or on the more conservative side like my husband, you will find meals that make everyone happy. They have great vegetarian options as well and you can even get things like simply prepared salmon or steak if your on a specific diet. The menu changes week to week and there are so many amazing options to choose from. I always have a hard time deciding!
4. Convenient Add-ons and kids meals- This might be my favorite part of Feast and Fettle. They have a whole section of add-ons. If I want a soup or extra salad for a few lunches that week I can add them. If we are having friends for dinner I can change the portion size from 2 to 4 and add an additional meal that week. If a friend had a baby and I want to bring a meal I can order extra meals. They have a whole section of kid friendly meals as well that my girls can choose from. The ability to adapt your weekly menu to your families ever-changing needs is such a benefit. I have already served Feast and Fettle meals while entertaining guests and I never worry that the food wont be enough or wont taste fresh and home cooked. Our company always loves the meals and usually leave saying they plan to try Feast and Fettle themselves!
Those are just four reasons our family loves Feast and Fettle but the value that having healthy, convenient, and freshly prepared meals has added to our lives is beyond measure. When you add in the flexibility of making each weeks delivery exactly what we need I just don’t think another meal service could top it.
