Using Blueberries To Defy Age With Airelle Skincare Products
It’s no secret that I love getting to try cutting edge beauty products. While there are so many to choose from, over the years I have become a lot more concerned with two things regarding my skin. The first is sun damage (Oh that dreaded tanning bed from my High School days!) and the second is having clean ingredients in the products I use. When I am asked to do a review on a new line of products I want to make sure it’s going to be a great fit and a line that I am truly excited to use and share my experience on.
When I was introduced to Airelle Skin I was immediately intrigued by their Berrimatrix formulation that protects against infrared radiation and collagen breakdown. The reason this was so appealing to me was that 90% of our skins aging is caused by the sun. Thirty percent of that damage is due to infrared radiation which actually penetrates deeper into your skin to trigger collagen breakdown. My previous go-to was actually a vitamin c serum. When I started using Arielle’s line I found out that this bluberry photoprotetive ingredient has yielded better results than it’s vitamin c based counterpoints in clinical trials! It’s not at all surprising to me because I have genuinely loved my experience with this line! My favorite product has hands down been their age defying eye and lip treatment. I keep it next to my bed and I roll it on under my eyes and above my lip at night and in the morning when I wake up. It’s so fast, easy to use and I have seen great results. I know this may sound silly but I was starting to get a new freckle above my lip. It was really standing out to me but after three weeks of using this roller the dark spot is almost completely gone. I also don’t know of many other natural products that specifically target the lip area but the fine lines and sun spots around my mouth are a definite concern for me.
The second product I have totally fallen in love with is their manuka mask. It has the same Berrimatrix formula in it as well as manuka honey. I love this mask because it’s meant to go on wet skin, making it perfect for the shower. I use this mask once or twice a week after I wash my face and I leave it on the duration of my shower. You can feel it tingling and my face feels so soft after! They also have a really nice exfoliating face wash in their line. I don’t personally use face scrubs often, so I will say that this cleanser was a bit more exfoliating than I would normally go for; but if you like a strong exfoliator that will leave your face glowing this one will be your BFF.
I also have to say that their age defying serum has been such a lifesaver. I feel like when I put this on at night I wake up with the smoothest skin. It’s the kind of serum you can actually feel working.
