Comfy Spring Sandals with Koolaburra and Pregnancy Update

Shoes: Koolaburra | Dress: Free People | Sunnies: Krewe | Clutch: Tory Burch past season (current versions here and here) | Jewelry: Jules Smith | Ayla's shoes: Koolaburra

Since some of you have been asking, I would love to take a few minutes to share a little pregnancy update with you.  Before I do, I wanted to quickly introduce you guys to UGG’s sister brand, Koolaburra. If you are familiar at all with UGG then you don’t need me to tell you about the comfort and quality they carry in their shoe design. (True story: I bought my first pair of UGG’s 12 years ago and they are still in great condition in my closet!) Their sister company, Koolaburra, is no different. I was so excited when my gorgeous blush colored Raychel sandals arrived! Their low heel is perfect for this pregnant Mama to walk in and the great quality means they will last for many summers to come.

One of my favorite things about this brand is that they make the most adorable line of kids shoes. We ordered a pair of Kellen High Top sneakers in the same color as my sandals so that Ayla and I can match. They are still a bit big for her as they don’t carry toddler sizes, but she can’t wait to wear them soon!  The quality of the kids line makes their shoes the perfect choice to withstand all the many playground adventures your little ones will have!

Now for a quick pregnancy update! I know I recently shared with you all that I have been suffering from a condition called Hyperemesis Graviderum. If you are not familiar with HG it is an extreme form of morning sickness that is fairly debilitating and lasts long after the first trimester. I am currently 17 weeks and while baby is nice and healthy, things on my end are still a bit touch and go. I am so thankful for all of you who wrote kind messages and have checked up on me while I have been stuck in bed sick. Each day is a bit different but overall the intensity of the nausea is going down, my ridiculously low blood pressure is finally going up, and I have been able to keep more food down each day. There have been a number of days recently where I have been able to get myself out of bed and spend a good amount of time with Ayla while other days I still can’t do much more than lay around feeling really sick. While keeping things down is still a daily challenge, the good news is I was actually able to gain back a bit of the weight I had lost over the last few months. I am hopeful I will be back up to my pre-pregnancy weight in the next few weeks or so. I will have a lot of catching up to do to grow this baby, so that just means lots of ice cream dates for Ayla and I this summer! I can't imagine she will complain about that ;).

In more exciting news, we find out the baby’s gender in another week! Ayla and I are team pink while Justin is very much team blue. While I do think having sisters would be super fun, I will honestly be thrilled either way and just can’t wait to meet this little one! I am hoping to feel up to doing a fun gender reveal so keep a look out for that in the next few weeks!

Xo,

Kelly
