4th of July Inspiration

4th of July Inspiration

I love wearing blue and white with a tiny pop of red for the 4th. Every once and a while I will break out a really festive outfit to hit up the fireworks but overall, I prefer to go with something a bit more toned down to celebrate. If you prefer a slightly more understated 4th of july look a great way to achieve it is by going blue and white with just a splash of red in your accessories. Shoes, bags and jewelry can be great ways to add a bit of patriotic color to your outfit.

I hope you are all having fun planning and getting ready for all of your 4th of July festivities. We usually go to a picnic and watch the fireworks but I think will may lay low this year and just grill out on our back deck. Justin’s Sister-law and her son will be staying with us over the holiday and we could not be more excited. She has been living in South Korea for the last few years teaching English. Her son, Elliot, is Ayla’s only cousin to date and he is just 1 month older than her so they should play well together. It will be our first time getting to meet him and my Auntie heart just can’t wait to squeeze him and kiss that little face that I have only seen on Skype. We are debating if we should try fireworks this year but they start so long after bedtime and I am pretty sure Ayla will just be traumatized from the loud noises. I have a feeling we may hold off until next year. It’s a bit sad because I love fireworks and being on the CT shoreline is such a treat! We always get to watch the most amazing fireworks display’s out over the ocean.  I guess the ocean won’t be going anywhere from now until next year. Hope you all have a great time celebrating this 4th.
