Eating with Avanchy — Kelly Towart

I am pretty sure that my daughter and our dog, Wimble, have some secret language they conspire in. Every day when I put Ayla in her highchair, no matter what I have tried, Ayla will eat a few bites of her food and then dump the whole bowl on the ground as she exclaims “Weeeble!” and watches joyously as he finishes up her meal. I am fairly convinced they have talked about the plan ahead of time, decided how much of each food item both will get, and then divvy it up accordingly.

This is one of the reasons I LOVE our new organic bamboo dishware set from Avanchy. Not only is it super cute and colorful, but the suction on these plates is excellent. Ayla loves choosing what color spoon and fork she will eat with and I love that her bowl and plate stay right where I put them all dinner long. We have used some plates before with suction and it literally took about 10 seconds for Ayla to figure out how to remove the plate. This set she actually has quite a hard time getting off. Really, all this means for her and Wimble's little partnership is that she now uses her hands to throw him food. I still consider this a small win in the midst of a battle I have mostly given up on. I have learned to take my wins wherever I can get them!
